This year, 2015, sounded so far away!
And that wasn't too long ago.
With the end of each transfer and the excitement of new arriving missionaries, comes the pain -and pride- of seeing our best, most experienced and well-seasoned missionaries complete their service and return home to their families.
Each group is uniquely amazing and wonderful, talented, beautiful and handsome.
My vocabulary is inadequate to express our love and joy in these missionaries
and those who have come and gone before!
This cycle continues.
The Glory Shoe
I think it was President Spencer W. Kimball who said something about
wearing oneself out in the service of the Lord.
These shoes are certainly evidence of many long days of hard work.
The cute airport worker below comes and finds us each time we're there when she is. She brightens our day and symbolizes to us Southern Hospitality!
She said good-bye to each of our missionaries on this day.
We are abundantly blessed that these missionaries chose to serve
and they came to us.
"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end, they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." Mosiah 2:41.
We love you.
