Missionaries look forward to this exciting Transfer Day.
Luggage is tagged with colored pipe cleaners according to the areas they will be going and put in separate rooms for their destinations.
A few friendly games are started as missionaries wait for the transfer vans to arrive.
Missionaries find letters and packages for them that were sent to the Mission Office and brought to this Transfer Point by the Senior Office Sisters.
They also pick up media they or others in their Zones have ordered.
The Senior Office Sisters provide snacks and water for them.
They just don't even know how blessed we all are to have such outstanding Office Couples!
The Family History Center is opened for the missionaries to email home.
Sometimes members (and their cute kids) generously bring missionaries to the Transfer Points.
Thank you!
Missionaries love to gather with others they haven't seen for awhile.
One of the Assistants announces that luggage needs to be loaded.
Calling all Elders!
Luggage, bags, boxes, bikes are unloaded from the arriving vans
and then reloaded onto the departing vans for the new areas.
It's amazing how well it all happens. We lose a few unmarked or mismarked belongings, but eventually almost all is found and returned. It's all kind of a miracle.
So good of the elders to work hard to help it all happen!
Thank you!!!!
We have senior missionaries and other volunteers who help drive the missionaries to their new areas.
Thank you!
Time to circle up.
The drivers have arrived with their loads of missionaries and stuff.
We sing a song. We say a prayer for thanksgiving and for safety.
Names are called.
Departing missionaries come to the center of the circle.
The drivers sometimes come to the center of the circle too.
Thank you to our senior missionaries for driving.
It's a long day and a lot of miles.
I think they love being with these missionaries as much as we do!
This missionary was the photographer for these transfer pictures.
Nice job.
Thank you!!!!!
They grab a few snacks and then they're off!
Another new transfer begins filled with hopes and dreams,
effort and determination
to find, teach and baptize the Elect.
We love these and all of our missionaries!
Thank you so much for these wonderful posts, I look forward to them.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for giving us so many pictures...it gives us such a clear taste for where our missionaries are and what they are doing. I think that your photographer for these transfer pictures is especially cute! (but I could be biased...)
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe Personalized Family Photo Mats are a great way to show love, warmth, and respect for your family members!
