Transfer Day, New Assignments

The new missionaries receive their assignments and the names of their companions
at the mission home.  After breakfast, it's off to the transfer point.
It's another perfect, gorgeous fall day.

It's fun for them to meet MJM missionaries from all over, going and coming to new areas.

Some get to meet their companions right there at the transfer point.  Others have a few hours ride in the Transfer vans to get to their areas and join up with their companions there.
The Senior missionaries make the Transfers enjoyable with snacks and good stories.
It takes a lot of planning and coordinating to get missionaries moved from hither to yon.
The hope is that all the luggage gets moved to the right hither and yon too.
Some strong missionaries are loading luggage by color code
while other missionaries mingle and email.
Sister Edwards has packages, mail, and media for the missionaries to pick up.
Bags and stuff most usually get to the right places and did this time
except for two switched pieces of luggage.
Good things it's Mission Leader Council this week too.
Those pieces of luggage can be switched back quickly and easily by the Zone Leaders.

Soon the transfer vans, truck with trailer, and small moving vans arrive
from the outskirts of the mission.  They drop some missionaries off here,
and pick others up to transport there.
We circle up,
Sing a song,
Say a prayer,
Call the names,
Load the vans,
and the next transfer starts with happy excitement!
